Our Story

Ethelyn was my grandmother — a woman whose life was defined by kindness, compassion, and quiet strength. She filled our home with warmth, sweet baked goods, and unconditional love. Whether she was caring for her family or finding joy in the little things (like a spontaneous shopping trip), she made the everyday feel special.

In 2003, she lost her fight to cancer. Though she’s no longer here, I still feel her presence in the comforting moments — in the scent of something familiar, in soft light, in the stillness of memory.

I created Ethelyn’s Candle Co. to honor her legacy and share that same sense of comfort, connection, and love. Each candle is hand-poured in small batches with care, using clean coconut-soy wax and thoughtful scents that invite you to slow down and feel.

While the company began as a tribute to my grandmother, my mission has grown. I’m committed to giving back — not just in the fight against cancer, but in support of other causes close to my heart. Some collections will be inspired by this purpose, with a portion of proceeds donated to meaningful organizations. And you’ll always know exactly which cause you're supporting.
